About K. N. Dyer

Hi! I’m Kimberly, and this is my dog, Hadley.

I’ve been writing since I could hold a crayon, which, much to my mother’s chagrin, meant that I may have been inclined to record my stories on my closet doorframe. I have since upgraded to actually writing by hand or this crazy thing called typing, but the stories never stopped.

Along with writing places I shouldn’t, I grew up as an avid reader. I devoured series like Nancy Drew and Harry Potter and loved book fair days. In 2008, I went to The University of Texas at Austin to major in Economics. I quickly realized how much math that required (and how much I hated math), so I changed my major to English and haven’t looked back since.

In 2013, I graduated from Drexel University with a Masters in Library and Information Systems. I was a Young Adult Librarian for a few years and absolutely loved it, but I wanted more time with the teens, so I became a teacher.

I currently teach high school English and work hard every day to instill a love of reading and an appreciation for writing in my students. Above all, I love getting to know my students. They are easily the best part of teaching and, I believe, will be the best part of writing. I can’t wait to share my stories with you!
